Poor Man's Wilderness Survival Kit by J. BALLOU
« on: December 25, 2013, 06:37:54 PM »
Merry Christmas All,

Santa's Little Helpers ensured I would have some new reading material this winter.

The Poor Man's Wilderness Survival Kit by James BALLOU is my newest read. This is a keeper, Folks. Easy to read and chock full of great, affordable ideas. Lots of improvisation and using imagination to over come obstacles, such as a lack of $$$ to buy gear.

Nothing outrageous or radically new to members here, but lots of great ideas. Like using a garage sale potato masher as a pot holder for a beer can alcohol stove. I would tell you how he does it, but that would rob you of the joy of discovery and the author of his royalty on a book sale.

If you want a new addition to your library on the topic of building affordable survival kits, this book is worth the cost. Available from Paladin Press or a local book store.

Cheers,

Mountainman.
