On a more serious note, Wanted
« on: October 30, 2013, 06:50:58 AM »
Would like to get my hands on swages, different hardies, bicks, leg vices, casting pots, fullers, hot taps , hot punches, etc for forge work. No problem paying for the shipping (Greyhound is cheap...again thx E) as long as the items are in working condition. I can replace handles, and clean up tools.

Thanks guys for your support.

Same problem here, and at auction the prices or stupid...way past what a person would pay for new. Mind you I do get a little vindictive at times and will bid up some things at the start of an auction to make anyone interested in the same things as me to pay through their nose. LOL

Why not contact some of the curators at some of the heritage villages.  They get offered stuff all the time that they can't use.  If you establish a relationship with them they may be willing to direct people to you.

I know a lady up ottawa way who got  some heritage hogs from the pioneer village.. seems they wanted to get 'out' of them and she gracefully accepted them.

not sure if they are blacks or old spots, but she get a BIG dollar for the piglets..

being heritage pigs they are not the fat pink, that is the norm today. they are foragers
