iGoogle

Is anyone using iGoogle as their homepage or one of their homepages? With only a few days left for iGoogle before it retired permanently if you are looking for an alternative there are a few to choose from. One that I have been experimenting with is My Start Page from netvibes.com. It is fast to load has most of the features I like in a homepage and can be highly customized with a variety of widgets.

The ability to search, see the latest news, get the local weather, see tweets from those you are following, see Facebook posts etc. are what I expect to find on a good homepage.  There are also some nice features like a widget that allows you to keep your favourite website open on your home page also another one tht keeps track of your to do list.

It is easy to set up so if you are lamenting over the demise of IGoogle go over to  www.netvibes.com/ and give it a try.
It may never happen. Best to be prepared just in case.
