Dome Structures & Beer Stone
« on: November 12, 2016, 08:05:42 PM »
All,

Does anyone re-call the dome structure craze a number of decades ago....it was quite popular. And then some fellow who was working on a different project accidentally knocked his beer into his cement and poof! Beer Stone. After more experimentation he finds that before it sets this new beer stone is quite pour-able and can be used to spray onto dome shaped forms to make quasi-earth homes. And because of the air pockets captured in the cement during the bubbling process, the beer stone has a fairly high "R" value, compared to normal cement.

Does anyone have any links to anyone who is currently working with a product like this?? Or even a name for this product?? I have done a few searches just using Beer Stone, and Beer + Cement = Beerstone and stuff like that. Most lead to micro breweries, or kidney stones.

I am pretty sure I did not just dream this.....I am pretty sure this really happened. SW USA or possibly Australia???

Thanks if you can lend any assistance.
