It is a strangely quiet time astronomically speaking. There are no overly large or threatening sunspots that appear that they are going to cause large solar flares. The chances of significant CME’s hitting the Earth are low at the moment.
Of the almost one thousand four hundred potentially hazardous asteroids only seven will be in a position of a relatively close approach before the end of September. Of these the closest will pass at 7.6 lunar distances, an approach that poses no threat to the Earth.
Lets enjoy this quiet time while it lasts.
