Security and Support
« on: September 08, 2015, 03:19:42 PM »
Today a young fellow from our little "association" woke up this morning, and found that he had been robbed. His truck was broken into last night, very light superficial damage, and his gear ( GOOD pack) had been stolen. The backup plan for this occurance was followed, and he is currently being resupplied in Edmonton. During this time we realised that in a grid down situation, our current comms net would possibly not work...So we have decided to cache on the way in and pick up on the way out of any urban areas. Fortunately for him we have a small support network. If this had happened as a result of a SHTF event, things might have turned out differently. Keep in mind support in depth, if at all possible.

Take care

Should add in that resupply only took 45 min, damn good job guys!

Your network seems to have their sh!t together. Excellent example for the rest of us to follow.

Cheers,

MM.

I guess the next logical step would be something along the lines of making a more secure compartment, probably a little less eye catching.

I agree maybe something should be done to make it harder for things to be seen in his vehicle
Preparedness is like a condom, I would rather have it and not need it, rather than need it and not have it
