just bought a set of 37 mile walkie talkies

They are good for a mile. They lie about the range. Bought some for hunting last year, didn't even go a mile.

I just sold 2 Baufeng 5r. Couldn't figure out how to use them

me thinx the 37 mile was advertised transmit range and the 1 mile was throwing range after you found out they could transmit 20 feet

Lots of folks (myself included) use Baufeng radios.  Good units for the money, but they aren't as simple to use as they should be.  We should have a Baufeng seminar.
