Looks interesting. I assume this is a some sort of gasifier burner. Some of the comments are very good, others not so much. The concept of the wood gasifier burners is excellent and efficient....some products will succeed better than others.

Not seeing this particular product in person, I will not venture an opinion one way or the other.

Parkerhale made us almost the same thing from an old dryer bin..our dryer broke down this winter and we had the old one under the carport,he just pulled the drum out and it is in the back yard...will take some pics, was on a weeks holidays(actually organize the house and do some major reno,s in the house)

Looks like a simple double walled fire pit with something  like a dryer drum as the core. You could probably easily make something very similar or even better from scrap and save $200.
It may never happen. Best to be prepared just in case.
