I would not worry too much. You don't get ten years for multiple murder in Canada let alone wearing a mask. Actually I never have been a fan of those who attempt to hide their identities ehing a mask during demonstrations, lawful or not. If you can't show your face you have something to hide.
It may never happen. Best to be prepared just in case.

I understand the rationale behind the rule as wearing masks eliminates any hope of facial recognition.  I did however think it was an intriguing way to protest against what is usually perceived to be a faceless bureaucracy or power structure.
