Hey there administrators!  I have a question, but will background first.
When I visit this site, I hit the "Show unread posts since last visit" link to see new stuff.  I read up on things, and the topics disappear from the list.  Then I can't find them again because I don't know where the topics are rooted.
Is there a way to have a link for "Show recent and/or popular" links?
Is there some way to just have a link for the most recent topics that will not have topics drop out once opened and read?
I would find such a link very useful.
What do you think?

Personally I would like a 'favorites folder' to save topics in.

If I wish to follow a topic I use the "mark unread" button to keep it in the list

First Editing; = after the set time you are not able to edit a post. On some other forums, people have cleaned out every post they have if they get perturbed in the slightest or when they decide to leave a forum!
A. No editing after the set time, if you really need to do an edit, then send a request to one of the moderators, who have the power to edit any post for you.

Greenguy;
The show New replies to your posts is a good feature if you have created any posts and wish to see the replies
Show unread posts does disappear as you have read them, I always open in a new tab from the main list, the refresh once I am done 5-7 posts or so.
As for another way of doing it as follows; =
go to the Home page
go to the bottom of the page
look for

Latest Post: "Re: Seeking Serious Prep..." ( Today at 05:54:39 PM )View the most recent posts on the forum.
This shows you all the recent posts in order that they occur, it also sometimes show posts even before the show Unread posts link does!
Hope this Helps.

Notify
Unnotify

found at the bottom of every thread, if you want to follow along but do not have the time to post yet, then click notify
in the rare instance you do not want to follow a topic (why not???) then click Unnotify, you will then stop following the topic and will not get any more feedback.

Personally I would like a 'favorites folder' to save topics in.
Will look into this but I normally do this on my own computer;
create a folder, then subfolders for information.
- copy the info into Word or Excel or use OpenOffice and save the pages with the topic infor headers such as Dehydrator etc.

If you want to save them in your mail program, create subfolders then save that post in there for later use. This works good as you can normally see the topic heading and name already.

If you are very fond of a particular topic you can always right click the topic name at the top of your page and add it as a favourite to your browsers favourite list.
It may never happen. Best to be prepared just in case.

Here are two more ways that you can stay abreast of topics that you are interested in.
1. If you reply in that topic you will be automatically notified if there are additional posts.
2. If you do not reply to a topic you can choose "Notify" which is next to the "Reply" button. as above you will then be automatically notified if there is activity in the topic.

I hope that helps.
