Back online, internet working
« on: August 19, 2013, 07:01:36 PM »
So like the title says, back online and the internet is working with my new phone. The phone is how I connect to the internet these days. When I have more time and less Mbs left on the plan, I go to a WiFi to connect.

So for prepping I recommend a 20 something, polite and friendly with lots of phone experience! :)
Great customer service here where I got the phone and he said if any issues come back on in, so I did. The saw me coming and said, "Tethering issues Ed, bring that laptop over here and we will fix it right up." So another 2hrs latter, 2 frustrated smoke breaks by the young fella, fixed!

What are you computer/connection issues that you have had and what did you learn from them for future references?
cheers wild_E

Welcome back Wild..... glad to hear you had a good experience with your provider. Is it safe to ask what company you deal with? I was with Rogers and finally got FED UP. Got 2 phones, 2 numbers same plan for each unlimited text and talk for $70 plus tax. I am certain there is a better deal out there but I can live with that.

O no, the provider is Fido/Rogers, they stink!

The little kiosks in the President's Choice shopping center, they are great!

LOL... Indeed they do stink. My cable was with a little private company. They got bought by Shaw who has now sold them to Rogers. Just seeing how long till I cancel my service with them...LMAO

Well thank you,
Kelee, you have kids, any of them tech smart/phone smart, might be a good job to teach old folks how to use phones as well as tech support afterwards!

I have had both Rogers and Bell for a while. Up here Bell truly sucks. Rogers however is great and as far as I am concerned the only way to go, the phone service is better than most and the internet service is fast but expensive. I have Ontera wireless internet as a back up but it is slow.
It may never happen. Best to be prepared just in case.

Rogers/Fido have very poor cell service in the Cochrane, Timmins and west of there, so along that route Telus is the way to go.
