To Thine Own Self Be True
« on: August 21, 2014, 01:07:24 PM »
This article from The Organic Prepper ("It's Time for a Prepper Reality Check") hits nice and close to home. It sets you to genuinely question your plan vs your reality.
Never trust something you read in a book/internet/bathroom stall, unless you can prove it in person.
Always keep your options open with good health, quality fitness and good planning.
Learn. Practice. Fail. Refine.
Ego is a sin, when it's unfounded, because it can get you killed, so make sure you're lying to the right people  ;)
#1 - Have you practiced your skills?
#2 - Is your plan actually realistic?
#3 - Are you physically fit?
#4 - Do you have combat experience?
As it asks at the end of the article,
"We all know folks who refuse to to build a stockpile or just flat-out refuse to believe that disaster will inevitably strike. What are some examples that make you roll your eyes when you hear them?"?
“The enemy is anybody who's going to get you killed, no matter which side he is on.”
― Joseph Heller
