Outbreak is Japan's first since 2011, when 600,000 chickens had to be culled

  • H5N1 begins with symptoms common to all flu, but kills in half of cases

Can you imagine how this and other viruses might spread if there was even a temporary disruption to business as usual even one country or even worse a region of the globe?
It may never happen. Best to be prepared just in case.
