wanted blueberry plants
« on: March 13, 2014, 11:20:58 AM »
bare root blueberry plants are small and easy to ship.. throw a few in a plastic baggie with a damp apaper towel..puncture cpl holes in bag and put in mailer and away they go.
...
same but bulkier is elderberry and raspberry and blackberry. but even these can be shipped as stcks (12"-14") branches with damp towel.
they can be shipped now.

I,m looking if anyone has any to sell/get rid of...
of all the things I,ve lost.. I miss my mind, the most

I am going to spend  some money in spring buying all kinds of barriers to plant. We would love to make our own different jams
Hoping to find some deals , because I know some are very expensive.

yep henry. I spent most of today negotiating with someone in montreal on plants.. they have them.. they are going to prune and dump and they are afraid i mite rip them off .. I will send the money up front and HOPE he isnt a crook..
we all must be careful.
...
I dont get plants for a very good price when you figger shipping is usually $20 or so.. I pay that shipping because I hope to propagate and sell the plants.

I prefer my plants on the beginning of the season. Last year at the end of he season Home Depot had some left over but I would not take them for free, they were so dead.
Hey ZEK. if you will have some for sale I would be interested to buy.

goji plants
« Reply #6 on: March 13, 2014, 08:23:06 PM »
I sure will henry..

in fact I have a doz (goji) potted up rite now, and will be taking cuttings this week as they are getting too high under the lites.

but really no need to buy any goji plants.. just go to the healthfood store and get a few of the dried berrys.
open them up. some folks soak them first some dont.to get the seeds out..

soak the seeds for a cpl hrs and sprinkle over soil.. tamp down and sprinkle with soil.. keep moist and they will be up in a week, after that just take cuttings.. they gotta be the easiest thing to sow and grow.

and they are zone 5-7  (our area)
got some outside and when the snow dissappears, will be the test if they survived./

they fruit the second yr (a bit) then, from then on, they fruit heavily.
seeds can be bot one ebay.. china seeds are ok and usually FREE shipping.. dont buy if not free shipping.
