Motorola Two Way Hand Held Radios.
« on: March 11, 2014, 01:33:17 PM »
Our local fire department has a number (about 10) Motorola PT110 two way radios for sale. They come complete with chargers, batteries and antennas. They are in great working condition and are currently in use. The spec sheet is attached. They are currently all programmed with the same 4 channels. These are 5 watt units that in normal conditions require a licence. They have a fairly long range. While they are all used and working a new battery would make them a nice communications option to have. Batteries are available on eBay for under $20. If you are interested in one or more PM me.

Before we put the units on eBay I will advertise them here.

What would you estimate the unit to unit range to be over 'normal' topography with stubby antenna? Are they waterproof? What are you asking per unit? Are they easy to reprogram for channels? SOOooo many questions.
THERE ARE NO PROBLEMS... ONLY OPPORTUNITIES FOR SOLUTIONS

They will be way under $100. We just have to wait until our new radios are tuned to our frequencies so we can use them, this is supposed to happen in the next couple of weeks. I will send you PM when I have the details.

Ok I'll let everyone know when we are ready to let them go. They are good radios and have a range about as good as it gets for a hand held.
