change of seasons change of gear
« on: November 01, 2014, 01:47:16 PM »
So it is set your clock back weekend in Canada, let's also remember to change your gear in you bags as well as vehicle emergency gear over to your warmer weather stuff.

Remember to swap out the summer fall sleeping bag for the winter one too.
Now I do suggest keeping a bathing suit in the bags. Why you ask?
Well if you need to do snow baths, polar bear swims, sweat lodges or get invited over for a hot tub.  Some if not most places request bathing suits ;)

If travelling, sports complexes are good places for recreation as well as showers, just ask for their shower only rate. The rate is normally $2-3 bucks vs the truck stops who charge $7-8 for a shower.

Those little TP stove/heaters are great to have in the vehicle if you break down or the highway is closed.

Fire... Lots and lots of redundant systems for making fire!

Good advice wild_e.
It may never happen. Best to be prepared just in case.

I'm assuming that's part of your deterrent kit, Zeker?
