SWINE flu is sweeping the nation again and itís striking the young and healthy the hardest.More than 21,000 Australians have been struck down by the flu so far this year and the virus is running at levels 36 per cent higher than the same period last year.
Experts warn the deadly swine influenza, which killed as many as 1,600 Australians in 2009, is the predominant strain.

Queensland has been hardest hit by the flu with 6890 cases to August 12. In NSW, 6652 cases of influenza have been reported, with Victoria reporting 2715 cases, South Australia 2023, Western Australia 1906, the Northern Territory 339, Tasmania 218 and the ACT 317.
