Iodine tablets
« on: July 28, 2014, 09:21:54 AM »
Has anyone purchased these from a pharmacy?  Would I get any grief if I went in to buy some?  I can't think it would hurt to have some on hand, just in case.

You should have no trouble picking them up. I bought some a long time ago and still have them.
It may never happen. Best to be prepared just in case.

Awesome.  Are they on the shelves in the aisles or do I have to request them from the pharmacist?

I ordered mine and had them shipped in.  I didn't even consider that the local pharmacy would have them.  If they did it would be good to save the ship costs!

my info tells me thAT That they are mostly for younger folk.. folks my age would be dead anyway by the time the effects of radiation would do their job.(unless massive/immediate, then, death fast)

I have some, but they are for my son, if need be.

Well, Shoppers Drug Mart didn't have them.  Makes me wonder if I can get them in a pharmacy in ON or whether I have to order them through the mail.  And yeah, zeker, I read that too, but I have two kids so I definitely want to have them on hand.

When I first joined the military we had salt tablets at a dispensing station in the hanger. You got sweaty, you took a tablet. I used to love salt, now I rarely use it, as there is sooooo much in food already.
