Seemed a bit high in price until you added in all the extras along with the bike. I have always said this kind of bike and trailer rig would be a good backup plan.

You could always add on one of those small motors to the bike so you could get away much faster.

Thanks for posting that link.

US Cav use to sell the folding paratrooper mtn bikes. Wild_E is very correct, having a backup plan to your backup plan for transportation.....not a bad idea. The fact that these type of mtn bikes fold-up is a nice feature for a backup transportation system. I can ride a lot further in a day than I can hike or run. And a trailer is a rolling kit bag. Even in hilly country it is easier to ride with a loaded trailer than to hike. And once in a while, you get downhills!

So, if your primary BOV is a truck and trailer, with a side-by-side quad as your backup transportation, it would not take much more effort to backup the quad with a folding mtn bike.
