Horseflies and greenheads.

Does anyone have experience on what I can do to keep these b*stards from biting? Deet works ok (I have 90% deet). I was going to build a trap but even if I get bit once I am really pissed off so unless the trap gets a 100% kill rate it really wont matter to me. I have seen the horsepal and Epps traps but have no interest in paying $300 for something that has about $40 in material. Sprays and lotions are welcome. :) Thanks to anyone who replies since I am desperate!

In northern BC I used to use "Skin So Soft" either Watkins or Avon product. I think that they may even have unscented but don't know if it works.
