Hello fromm the North.
« on: March 20, 2013, 09:46:44 AM »
Hello,

I live in Northern Ontario, Canada and I have been prepping for many years but I am always learning something new. Forums like this one are great places for the exchange of ideas. For a number of years I have been involve in Emergency Management on the Provincial and Municipal levels. I would love to contribute whatever I can but also looking forward to learning from you
It may never happen. Best to be prepared just in case.

Welcome,
I plan on moving up the North permanently this summer/fall.
cheers and welcome to you

Right now I live in the Durham Region which is East of the GTA - Toronto in Ontario Canada.

I grew up in the Bush of the Ottawa Valley, Blue Mnt Area, North Bay and farther north as well. City and Country for me until I joined the Military, though I was in the Army Cadets, then the Militia (now called the Reserves) then the CDN Military, then the Reserves, lead Army Cadets as well as St. John Ambulance Cadets now I live off grid with my Bug out vehicle and utility trailer as well as my everyday vehicle.

Into permaculture, aquaculture, heavy equipment as well as tinkering.
Accomplishments include, Running the Photography Club in Germany, assisting in running the Combat Shooting Club in Germany, Marksman, IPSC & PPC Qualifier, Bow Hunter as well as Bow Qualifier, using both compound and recurve bows.

Torn between my love of my K-bar and my Kukri as to which I would grab first so, whichever one is the most handy I recon.
Training my large breed Cane Corso Xbreed to pull a sled in the winter as well as a doggy sized trailer in the summer. she is already wearing her doggy pack when we go for walks, does not like it so much, until I pull out her doggy treats!
