Woman Survives 8 days in Wilderness
« on: August 28, 2014, 09:52:23 AM »
A woman survived 8 days in the North Saskatchewan wilderness after her canoe capsized and her husband was killed.

"She had survived eight days out in the wilderness using her extensive experience," said Maier. "So it was a pretty phenomenal story."
Police said she's alive thanks to her outdoor experience and survival skills.

Practice, practice, practice. It may save your life one day.
Also a good reminder to teach those you care about to take care of themselves in the event you cease to be able to. Injuries and accidents can happen to anyone.
“The enemy is anybody who's going to get you killed, no matter which side he is on.”

I agree with everything you said about practicing your skills and teaching your loved ones to look after themselves, as we won't be around forever.

Good advice Zed.
It may never happen. Best to be prepared just in case.
