Greetings from Southern Alberta....
« on: July 09, 2013, 12:43:51 AM »
.... the part with the new lake..  I have 50 plus years of learning, gardening, growing, foraging, and READING.  I am currently taking some herbalists  courses.   A farm girl at birth, I spent more than a decade of my life raising my children off grid in the foot hills, living almost entirely from the land.  Cross between an old hippie, pioneer, and some kind of mountain momma. But if you met me now, you might not know. LOL! I look pretty normal. Live in town, run a business, and most people who know me, would never guess that I am one of those secret prepper types. It has just always seemed to me that society is so very fragile, it has not been long in the making, our just in time everything, could all crumble very quickly. Some days simpler would seem like a better option...

Ladyboomer,

Welcome.

I hope the new lake shrinks, sooner than later. Hope your place is okay, soon.

Cheers,

Mountainman.

I am one of the less than 20% that had no damage...  I was back into both places, and open for business on  July 2nd. Been helping where & when I can, what an unbelievable mess.

Good to hear.

Our place escaped by the skin of our teeth. :-) Compared to our neighbours, we were hardly touched, as well. We are not living back there yet. Maybe by this weekend.

I hope to get back to helpout on Friday, once my work week is over.
