June 1 Meeting! London
« on: May 16, 2014, 09:48:59 AM »
OK all you London and area folks.  June 1 at the Arby's on Wellington Rd. S. 1:00.  Hope a lot of you can come out, including the new people who have expressed an interest in meeting others.  Still no specific topic for discussion.  Perhaps: "If you had only the time and means to do one last prepping thing before the SHTF, what would it be?"  If you have ideas, they are more than welcome  :)

I've got it on my calendar.  I assume Arby's for the location?

Only 1 thing before the shtf?......grab mem chip or detached  hard drive and put in with laptop in emp proof box.
That way I can watch saved utube vids on prepping.

Hey all, I am really struggling for time these days, with some tight work deadlines and end of year stuff for the kids, plus getting ready to travel. I REALLY want to make it out on Sunday and I'm gonna try my best.  Don't want to bail on the meeting.  If I do make it, would only be for an hour or two.  Just a heads up that if you don't see me there, I'll be buried under all the stuff I have to do LOL.

Was at Arby's at 1, place was very busy.
Unless you had a flag that said meeting on it I could not see anyone.
We have to move the meetings to a more non public place , much to busy there in the summer ,IMHO.
Maybe a park with a gazebo would work?

I was not able to make the meeting.  I apologize for that.  I do agree with Grouchy that we need to find a better place to meet.  We have lots to discuss, and sometimes have a little "show and tell" that can be difficult at that location.
Lets all suggest places and then narorw it down from there.  It also might be time to use our univeral symbol to identify eachother at meetings.  It will be up to you how you wear or present the symbol.  It could be a pin on a jacket, some marker on a coffee mug, whatever.  I bet most people in this forum don't even realize that my avatar is one of our symbols.  Does anyone (but me) know what it means?
